Steals of the week — August 25, 2026
August 25, 2026
Seven sales this week — the edition opened at five and was expanded the same afternoon once two more cleared the same bar: every one had to be opened and read in a browser, with the discount and the currency on the page the real US ones, or the pick did not run. That rule cost a pick too: Reformation’s 50% is still live, but the page kept serving us non-US pricing, and we will not quote a number we could not read in dollars, so it sits out this week rather than run on faith. What is here we could read, code-free. The headline is Nordstrom Rack: the thing last week told you to wait for — a Clear the Rack event — is now live on top of a clearance that already runs to 90% off. Ann Taylor stacks to an extra 60% off when you take two sale styles, Aritzia’s sale tiers down to 70%, Everlane reaches 70%, J.Jill’s extra 40% is unchanged and still dated, Boden holds at 60%, and Athleta stays priced as marked. Ignore the "extra 25%" and "extra 20%" banners you will see on a couple of these pages — those are credit-card and new-season teasers, not the markdown. None of these links earn us anything.
Ends Monday, September 7
Extra 40% off
Extra 40% off all sale styles
Extra 40% off all sale styles, stacked on already-reduced prices with no code. J.Jill’s own fine print reads “valid 5/28/26 – 9/7/26 on sale-priced merchandise”
Our take
The standing summer offer that has quietly run since May, and it reads word for word the same today. An extra cut on top of sale prices is a different animal from a percentage off list, so judge it at the bag, not the product page. Two weeks left on it, and the linen is what J.Jill does best.

Up to 90% off
Clear the Rack is live over 90%-off clearance
Clearance section, refreshed daily, with individual pieces marked as much as 90% off — and a Clear the Rack event now running on top of it. No code
Our take
Last week this was the thing worth waiting for, and it arrived: the Clear the Rack badge is live on the clearance rail, which is the one time the tag price gets cut again rather than just sitting where it is. The floor tags already run to 90% off, so the move is to filter to 70% or deeper first and let the event do the rest. These events are short — a long weekend, not a fortnight — so this is the pick with a clock on it even though the site prints no exact end date.
Extra 60% off
Extra 60% off when you take two sale styles
Extra 60% off 2+ sale styles, or 50% off a single one, stacked on already-reduced prices. No code — the cut applies in the bag. Everything in sale is final sale
Our take
The stack is the whole point: the offer pays you to take the second piece, so a pair lands far below where either sits alone — judge it at the bag, not the tag. Final sale means no returns, so this is a size-you-know purchase, not a maybe. The workwear basics — the ponte, the blouses, the ankle pants — are what run deepest here.
Up to 70% off
Sale tiers down to 70% off
Sale category tiered to 70% off at the deepest, over rails at 60, 50, 40 and 30%. Priced as marked with no code; Aritzia sale is final sale. We verified the discount tier off Aritzia’s own sale page, not a dollar figure
Our take
Aritzia almost never touches in-season stock, so the 70% rail is where last season’s Wilfred and Babaton land — the contemporary cuts that do not turn up in a clearance bin anywhere else on this list. That is what earns it the slot over a deeper number elsewhere. Sort to the 70% tier first, and size carefully: final sale is final.
Up to 70% off
Sale up to 70% off — no code
Womens sale reaching 70% off at the deepest, priced as marked in USD with no code to enter. No stated end date
Our take
Everlane rarely goes past its usual "choose what you pay" nudges, so a rail reaching 70% is the real floor for this brand, not a step toward more. The value here is the basics — the tees, the denim, the ballet flats — priced below where they normally bottom out. What you see on the tag is what you pay, so judge it there.
Up to 60% off
Up to 60% off the womens sale
Womens sale marked to 60% off at the deepest, priced in USD with no code on the markdowns themselves. No stated end date
Our take
The quiet one on this page, and the reason it earns a place: Boden’s prints do not turn up in anyone else’s clearance, so the comparison is against full price rather than against the rest of this list. Skip the "extra 20%" new-season teaser at the top — it is a nudge on full-price stock, not this sale — and spend the attention on the 60% rail.
Up to 60% off
Sale — priced as marked, no code
Roughly 1,400+ sale pieces up to 60% off, priced as marked in USD. The "extra 25% off" you will see is a credit-card sign-up offer, not the markdown. No code on the sale itself
Our take
Priced as marked earns it the slot: what you see is what you pay, no code to mistype. Most of the section sits at 30–40%, so sort by discount if you want the deeper end. Current-season colours turn up here, which is unusual for a markdown this size — Athleta clears its own seasons rather than dumping only leftovers. Note the link moved to Gap’s canonical sale path this week; it is the same section.
